                                    Career Considerations

If you are interested in employment at Brookhaven Youth Ranch please be aware that we are seeking the most

excellent employees available. One of our highest priorities is to have our staff serve as positive role models for

the youth under our care. Unless you care deeply about the welfare of children and are determined to lead by

example, then perhaps Brookhaven is not the place for you. You should be physically healthy and emotionally

strong, because the children will challenge you on a regular basis. Being drug and addiction free is a must due

to our regular, random drug testing program. Additionally, we are required by law to have thorough and

comprehensive criminal background checks performed on all potential employees, so if there is a criminal history

in your past, we cannot consider you for employment.

  • Direct Care Positions

We have Direct Care Positions available for the day and evening shifts. Employee benefits include paid vacations,

holidays, sick leave, retirement plan options, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield health plans. Contact our Treatment

office at (254) 829-1920 if you are interested in learning more about Direct Care employment opportunities.

  • Professional Positions:

Licensed Professional CounselorsLicensed Clinical Social workers, or Licensed Marriage and Family

Therapists positions occasionally become available. Contact Clint Anderson, Treatment Director at (254) 829-1920

if interested in a professional position.

  • Development Coordinator:

With the appropriate applicant and pending Board of Directors approval, Brookhaven Youth Ranch is considering

creating a Development Coordinator position. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Coordinator

will be responsible for the design and implementation of Brookhaven Youth Ranch's fundraising plan. This includes

researching and prioritizing funding opportunities, securing funds from public and private partners through grant

writing and sponsorship development (cash & in-kind), and developing and implementing the organization’s donor

program (annual campaigns & online fundraising). The Development Coordinator will also be expected to attend

events on behalf of Brookhaven Youth Ranch, and assist the Executive Director with donor and funder relations.

Finally, the Development Coordinator will also be responsible for associated administrative tasks, such as grant

reporting, tracking progress of funded projects, and providing assistance to the Executive Director, and Board of

Directors in their fundraising responsibilities. The salary will reflect past experience and successful track record in

funds procurement.
