Research Project

The Brookhaven Youth Ranch research project is being developed

and supervised by Dr. Allison Stewart, of Tarleton State University.

It is the desire of Brookhaven Youth Ranch (BYR) to provide treatment that focuses on the emotional,

social, and moral development of the youth we serve. BYR is committed to evidenced-based practice

and the ongoing testing of our treatment model in order to provide the youth with the most effective

treatment according to our standards of excellence. BYR has partnered with faculty and students

at Tarleton State University to conduct ongoing outcome research on the effectiveness of our treatment

model. It is our hope to show that as the youth gain pro-social skills, a sense of responsibility and

concern toward others they can lead happier and more productive lives.
